The Metro-North Railroad Amateur Radio Association (MNRARA) is comprised of current Metro-North Railroad employees and retirees who have an interest in amateur radio. An amateur radio (HAM) license is not required for membership.
We invite all current Metro-North Railroad employees and retirees who have an interest in radio communications and associated technologies to join us.
Our History
The Metro-North Railroad Amateur Radio Association grew out of an idea among a group of MNR Radio Maintainers to form a club for employees who have an interest in radio. This effort began in June of 2016 and was finally approved by the management of Metro-North Railroad in January of 2020.
Our Misson
It shall be our purpose to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency, and to so conduct club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the community.
